Grasshopper Solutions Aluminium Frames are manufactured

in the Group’s state-of-the-art aluminium processing factory

in Poland where machines using advanced CNC technology

produce consistent accuracy of product dimensions and

component fit. The factory’s dimensional database ensures

precise milling of hinge locations for any commercially

available hinge.

The Grasshopper Solutions Glass Factory uses similar technology

to process the glass for the aluminium framed fronts.

Production runs can be from just a few individual pieces to

thousands of cut, polished and laminated glass components.

​

Any photograph or graphic can be applied to the glass either as a surface film or between laminated glass sheets.

 

Any 4mm thick glass or sheet material can be used in the frames. The alternatives include clear, frosted, tinted, self-coloured and painted glass and textured, fluted and patterned designs.

 

For safety, all clear, etched and self-coloured glass is toughened and glass which cannot be heat treated, such as painted and mirror glass, has a safety film applied before fitting.

 

Frames can also be supplied as a set of components for glazing and assembly by our customers.

 

The fronts and frames can be drilled to take surface-mounted handles or alternatively, a range of edge-fitted handle profiles are available for which several milling options are available.

 

With seven styles of frame, each available in up to four finishes and Lacobel’s wide range of coloured and textured glass, the options available for designers are almost limitless.
